Events 2026
Hello my bee loving friends! The honey supers are off of the hives, and the honey has been extracted! It has always been my tradition to extract with a bottle of my favourite Louis Bouillot Crement for luck. I always like to celebrate and honour my bee girls for a hard earned season and welcome in the harvest. I know...I should have mead (which I do - in my fridge...a story for Tea with the Beekeeper at the end of the year).
I started the summer with a lovely event "In A Garden" in Welcome, Ontario. It was the most fairy-like, gorgeous event I have ever attended. I'll tell you more about it in the year end wrap-up.
Over the next two months, you will find Love My Bees once again at the following places:
* Bow Wow Palooza in Orono, Saturday, September the 19th from 12 pm until 3 pm. This is such a wonderful charity event at the Orono Veterinary Clinic (who takes amazing care of my pups) to raise money helping people find the funds when a beloved pet has to be euthanized. It is such a worthy cause, so please come and let your pups, young and old, play in the splash pad, dive in the puppy pool for a chew toy, and spoil yourself with the many treats all the vendors have to offer...including Love My Bees honey.
* Kendal Community Christmas Market - Saturday, November 7th from 9:30 am until 3 pm, Kendal Community Centre, 6742 Newtonville Road, Orono, Ontario. I have never seen a market with so much variety (picture an old school building packed with vendors) for early Christmas shopping from toys to knitted crafts to gorgeous wooden bowls (some tiny ones made from sumac!) to...Love My Bees honey. :)
* Baba's Christmas Market - Saturday, November 14th from 10 am until 2 pm at the Ukrainian Heritage Centre (Lviv Hall), 38 Lviv Blvd. Oshawa, Ontario. This is perhaps the most charming Christmas market ever that takes me out of time and plops me into the decade of my childhood (when we all waited for that Sears Christmas catalogue). It is graced with the absolute charm of a bygone era, when people truly celebrated in old world ways. Ukrainian delights, Christmas reds and greens, enchanting chandeliers overhead, unlimited Christmas gift possibilities...and Love My Bees honey...ring in the bells of the yuletide season.
From the beauty of a garden venue to the drooly, splashing, tail chasing Bow Wow Palooza, to the excitement of small town Ontario opening the holidays, to feeling put back in time for the season of joy, of hope, and of peace on earth, Love My Bees has been and will be there.
I can't wait to celebrate the honey of summer with you as we head into the season of frosty windows and steaming hot cocoa.
